The job was a complete en-suite shower room renovation. The existing fixtures and fittings were removed and a complete new suite installed. This requires alterations to one of the walls to increase the size of the room, and plasterwork in the en-suite and adjoining room. The wall and floor were completely tiled and new lighting, shower, basin and WC were fitted. The reason that Wayne got the job was that he appeared very professional from the outset. He arrived right on time, was knowledgeable, willing to provide ideas and provided a detailed written quote and work schedule. He allowed me the option of choosing my own materials, which he would then purchase for me to save me any hassle. He dealt with the suppliers and took delivery of the goods. One other confidence booster is the fact that he didn't take a penny until the job was complete and I was completely satisfied. Once the job began, minor changes to the specification weren't a problem. Wayne accepted changes, and provided verbal cost updates if the change had a cost impact. I would have to say that he is more than fair in terms of the additional cost of his labour and didn't take a mark-up on materials. Throughout the job he was very punctual, and his work ethic was exceptional. He obviously takes great pride in what he does, and it shows in the finished product. I would certainly recommend Wayne.

your quote was £1800... And that was for materials and labour... If there was any materials left over then they were mine as I had paid for them hence in your quote so any extras u did for me would have been labour costs only I asked you the cost to get hut painted you said no more than £70 but you only painted the roof so no more than £30 hose on to wall no more than £30 a strip of wood round the fence a slab at the hut and some sand round the hut... That's all I can think of that comes nowhere near £500

Appreciate things happen that can cause delays but you didn't call or message to let me know, I sat around both days waiting on you arriving. I asked the day you came to give me a price if you could do the wall, you said you would. I feel that the day rate was unjustified since you didn't spend a full day doing any of the work. There's also gaps in the beading in several places, not just in living room that we knew of. I would have spoke to you over message about this but you didnt reply to my message.

Thanks for your comments James however, although I mention the time, it was really the communication that was the problem. I said that my husband can do lots of jobs but this was one he couldn’t therefore, we needed a tradesman but we could decorate and tile to finish. Additionally, you said you would quote but didn’t bother, nor did you respond to the follow up messages asking if you were still going to quote. I believe my rating to be fair and as far as I am concerned, we need to end the conversation now.
